Mitch Blinco

Incompetent or Con Artist?

If you've also been a victim of Mitch Blinco or Villa Nova Builders, please send your story to Victim@MitchBlinco.com. We can put you in touch with our attorney, and if you choose, share your story on this website.

Our $200,000 mistake? We hired Villa Nova Builders to rebuild our home in 2017. After suing to collect the money he stole or "misappropriated" from us during a two+ year project that should have taken less than a year, [on Feb 6, 2021] we reluctantly agreed to accept $12,500 from him. Our attorney pointed out that even though we would likely prevail in court, collecting was an additional challenge. For all the clients he's screwed over in the past (we've spoken to several) and the ones he's going to take advantage of in the future, let this website be a warning.

When Pam Blinco looks you in the eye and says she "truly believes Mitch is one of the best builders in Austin," to say she's wrong is an understatement. Mitch Blinco is an amazing story teller, but an amazing contractor, he is not. If you see Mitch Blinco, run the other way or be prepared to experience a nightmare that very few people have to live through. The $200,000 we lost was only a fraction of the headache and consternation caused by Villa Nova Builders' utter incompetence and constant lying. Subs showing up at all hours demanding money, Mitch never being on site, deposits being paid to Villa Nova Builders never making it to the vendor/sub that requested it.... the list of frustrations is endless.

Villa Nova Builders' masonry expertise. This is how they filled in holes on a brick column.

Villa Nova Builders' plumbing and tile. This is what it looked like AFTER installing the plumbing and finishing the tile.

Such amazing craftsmanship.

Panels above fireplace were literally falling off the wall. Oh, and that's after buying the wrong fireplace.

Can you believe that no RedGard waterproofing was installed in two (maybe three) bathroom showers?

"Finished" work?

Attic disaster...

Patio water=proofing that had to be re-done.

Bathroom disaster

Two+ years of living with this demo work and having paid thousands of dollars for "cleanup/removal."

Did a monkey install new hardware on our new doors?

A child could have done a better job.

Every door looks like this.

He used a Sharpie to patch the shoddy tile work.

4th tile sub got this far and never showed back up.

Electrical "expertise"

After new windows and exterior brick and siding installed...more leaks.

Baseboard installed before tile; gaps everywhere.

Leaks in several places that VNB "sealed"
